Why We Started This Journey

After decades as a breeder of German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers, we struggled to find trustworthy transport for our puppies. Many arrived stressed, dirty, or frightened after being passed between drivers or spending days on the road without proper care.

Everything changed when we met Liz from Y2K Transport, a CitizenShipper Preferred Ambassador Shipper. She cared the way we cared — gently, consistently, professionally. When she retired, she graciously mentored us and entrusted us with her clients, business model, and high standards.

We decided to expand our transport services full-time to provide other pet owners with the same peace, trust, and exceptional care Liz gave us.

Meet the Owner

I’m Judi, the proud owner of Paws Across America Transport. My life and career have been built around animals — from training and breeding to transportation and management. With over 45 years of real-world experience, my passion has always been providing animals with safety, structure, love, and understanding.

As a breeder of high-quality German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers, I learned firsthand how difficult it was to find transporters who truly understood and cared for the animals in their care. Too many times, puppies arrived stressed, dirty, confused, or traumatized by days on the road with strangers who lacked compassion or consistency.

So I began transporting my own puppies nationwide. I made it my mission to give them a clean, comfortable, fear-free travel experience — and my customers noticed the difference.

That mission evolved into what is now Paws Across America Transport.

A major turning point in my journey was meeting Liz from Y2K Transport. She was everything I wanted in a transporter: communicative, reliable, gentle with every pet, and trusted by everyone who hired her. When she announced her retirement, I was crushed — but incredibly honored when she offered to mentor me and help build our transport program into what it is today.

Liz’s legacy lives on through our work. We’ve modeled our business after her exceptional standard of care, with ongoing mentorship and guidance. Our promise is to give YOU the same peace and trust she gave us.
